I will tell you that bickering divorced parents cause much hardship for kiddos. I have been an educator for nearly 20 years and have witnessed it at the elementary level. The best thing you can do for your child is to love their parent. After all, the child was created out of love, so find it in your heart to continue that love for the sake of the child.

Great article! #3 is so true (as are all of them). I remember when I got divorced and we had to go to a divorce class since we had a child. Once I got past the divorcing couple behind me that was making out, I was able to retain one pertinent nugget of help. They said, studies have shown that the best situation is two parents married, getting along. Then, two parents divorced getting along, then two parents married fighting, and worst is two parents divorced and constantly fighting.

Basically, it's better to be divorced and getting along (for the kids) than married and bickering all the time.
