It is extremely confusing, even for us women. I am constantly amazed at the rigidity of some people, however, I do think it is only "some" people. There are always going to be those who can't see the forest for the trees and that's their perogative. Unfortunately those few are the reason for some of the dumbest rules I've ever seen. Some of those who fight the hardest for equality end up pushing special treatment and supremecy. Reverse sexism is becoming more prevelent than the the traditional sexism.

We are raising a nation of crippled young boys and men who are vilified at every turn for being male.

From the false allegation rape cases at Duke and Hofstra to the legal traps of family law to the daily messages boys get in their (almost 100% female-taught) schools, American society has decided to throw males under the bus as part of the female empowerment movement.

Good luck to you. I have two girls in school, and they are given every option and opportunity to succeed (and they will). Even they point out how odd it is that their teachers seem to pick on misbehaving boys more than girls, and they wonder why boys are afraid to ask them out.

This is a good time in history to have female children. You have an uphill battle.
