I remember buying my oldest a movie for his birthday when he turned 13. His father and I had not seen the movie but all his friends had seen it. We took it for granted that if his friends had seen the movie then it would be an appropriate movie.

We assumed his friend's parents would not allow them to see something that was not age appropriate. We were wrong! The movie was so raunchy it shocked me...a sexually experienced adult.

That was the day I started worrying about what my children learned when not at home. We have to be vigilant and we can never take it for granted that our children's friends are being raised with the same values we wish to teach.

Nowadays, as a parent also need to to give our children an all around education on managing the own money and finances ( Hardest task in the world!)

A documentary film told stories of some successful young entrepreneurs ,very interesting, you can watch online at www.TheYESmovie.com</a> produced by Louis Lautman.

I won't expect a kid turns to a financial genious after watching the movie...but there are some real business advice.
